A Nod to the Neckerchief

I'm sure we can all agree that the Japanese are one of the most stylish people in the world. And the truth is, they don't even have to try! For the most part, I managed to fit in with the crowd while putting my own spin on the latest trends.

Top from Uniqlo, jacket from Forever 21, skirt from H&M, sandals from Payless Shoe Source

It was only there where I realized that the Japanese (well the majority) are all about neutral, earthy tones and denim. So you can only imagine how thrilled I was to coincidentally blend in with the locals. The only thing off about my outfit would be the sandals. Apparently, open footwear isn't exactly big in Japan-- unless we're talking about chunky sandals with socks.

But I did sport two contemporary trends here-- the button-down skirt, and the neckerchief. The neckerchief makes a good accessory, and also a practical cover-up! I even matched my lips with it for an extra pop of color.

How are you guys loving the neckerchief trend? Do let me know! x

  1. I love the neckerchief trend. The neckerchief adds style and is a nice way yo add an accent of colour to an outfit.
The fashion pieces you styled combine to give your outfit a very pleasing look.
The neckerchief and white top with blue jean jacket and tan button down skirt look lovely together.
Your perfectly applied lipstick looks very pretty.
