Christmas means a lot for everyone. It's a time for giving, celebrating, getting together, being with your loved ones, looking back, being grateful, sharing your blessings, and so much more. It's also a season full of hope, love, peace, and joy. Some people go all-out to celebrate, while some prefer to keep it simple; every household has its own traditions. Last 2016, our family had the opportunity to celebrate the season a little different than we usually do-- just one of many things that we're thankful for.
The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a must-see at any time of the year. The seasonal display is filled with flora of all shapes and colors, faux fauna, life-size models of buildings or houses, and more-- depending on the theme.
Even if we only had a few days to spare in Las Vegas, we made sure to drop by Bellagio and see their Christmas display. Every angle was picturesque— I can hardly stop taking photos here and there! You’ll definitely see that every detail was carefully thought of.

We have seen Bellagio’s exhibit in spring, summer, and -- in 2016-- finally winter, too. Well, let’s face it, that’s as winter as it can get in Las Vegas (given that it is a desert haha!). In all fairness, the temperature also got pretty low, especially at night.

Last year, it was also our first time spending the holidays in the United States— or anywhere away from home, really. But although we didn’t celebrate Christmas at our humble abode, we were buoyant in the company of our kin overseas. It was one big family affair with even our relatives from the East Coast flying in. Truly, it was a far cry from our usual simple celebration as a family of three. Different, but just as good.
This year, we are returning to our family tradition of spending Christmas at home. But it’s not about what’s on the table for Noche Buena, the gifts under the tree, or the abundance of Christmas lights hung all over your place. What matters is the company you share. So no matter how you celebrate Christmas (or not, for reasons that are religious or otherwise)— may you have a wonderful time during the holidays. Merry Christmas!

The Christmas display there at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Las Vegas looks huge (and pretty).
